What's included

Every dog gets the whole groom. Not a checklist of upsells.

Every standard appointment includes the bath, the cut, the nails, the ears, and the brush-out. We don't tier it. We don't sell add-ons at the counter. Tell us about your dog when you call, and we'll quote the whole thing.

Warm rinse, gentle shampoo matched to coat and skin, towel-dry, blowout. The whole reason for the visit.

Breed-appropriate trim, scissor-finished by hand. We take the time to keep the lines clean.

De-shed & brush-out

Double-coat undercoat work for Huskies, Malamutes, Goldens. We send the fur home, not in the air.

Trim, then file smooth so they don't catch on your floors. Cooperative care, no muzzles by default.

Wipe-out, debris check, gentle pluck only when the coat calls for it. We tell you what we see.

Drop-off on Northern Lights — we're a few minutes from most of town.

The shop is at 409 W Northern Lights Blvd, Suite 1 — between Spenard and Arctic. Easy lot, room to park a truck, and the front door opens to a quiet waiting bench, not a wall of barking.

About

One dog at a time. That's the whole policy.

Bev's is a small, family-run shop on Northern Lights Blvd. We do one dog at a time so that no dog is sitting in a kennel waiting their turn, listening to other dogs bark, getting more wound up the longer they sit there.

You drop off, we bathe and groom your dog, you pick up. Usually 90 minutes to two hours, depending on coat. We'll text when they're towel-dried and again when they're ready.

No bows we didn't ask you about. No bandanas if you'd rather not. No charge for things we didn't do. If a mat is too tight to brush out, we'll call you before we cut into it.

Price depends on size, coat, and condition — a short-coat Frenchie is not the same job as a matted Doodle. Call (907) 279-6666, tell us about your dog, and we'll quote the whole thing including bath, cut, nails, ears, and brush-out. No add-on fees at pickup.

Usually 90 minutes to two hours. Big double-coats and full hand-scissor cuts can take longer. We text when your dog is towel-dried and again when they're ready, so you don't have to wait in the lot.

We handle most nervous dogs without muzzles by going slowly and giving breaks. We're a one-dog-at-a-time shop, which helps. Truly aggressive dogs, or dogs that have bitten a previous groomer, we ask you to mention up front so we can decide together if we're the right fit.

Yes, please call. We don't take walk-ins because we'd have to make your dog wait in a kennel, and that's the thing we built the shop to avoid.

We won't brush through a tight mat — it's painful. If the mat goes to the skin, the kind thing is to shave it short and let the coat grow back clean. We'll call you before we shave and explain what we're seeing.

Not at this time. We're a dog-only shop.

No. We charge for a groom; everything reasonable is included. If your dog needs medicated shampoo for a skin issue, bring it and we'll use it.
